Since his arrival in south Florida in 1977, Dr. Howard Goldman has performed tens of thousands of sight restoring eye surgeries. His compassion to help those in need has taken him around the world providing free surgery to thousands of underprivileged people and educating surgeons in developing countries such as Mexico, Ecuador, Panama and Guyana.
Dr. Goldman maintains a full time practice in Boca Raton where he continues to perform over 1,000 sight restoring microsurgical procedures each year. His specialty includes cataract and refractive procedures aimed at reducing or eliminating the dependency on eyeglasses for his patients.
Dr. Goldman has been named one of Florida’s top physicians in publications including Castle Connolly’s “How to Find the Best Doctors in Florida,” the Miami Metro Magazine’s Guide to the City and “America’s Guide to Top Physicians.”
A graduate from Columbia University and the New York University School of Medicine. He completed a year of general surgery, but his fascination with the eye and microsurgery led him to an ophthalmology residency at the Montefiore/Einstein Medical Complex in New York. Dr. Goldman is Board Certified and a Fellow of both the American College of Surgeons and the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
Outside of the office Dr. Goldman enjoys swimming for recreation and growing tropical fruits, vegetables and orchids.
