Tatiana Lee-Chee
D.O.Dr. Lee-Chee is one of the first female ophthalmologists in South Florida to perform laser cataract surgery.
Performing surgeries at multiple institutions in South Florida, she is affiliated with Broward Health North, Broward Health Imperial Point, and Boca Raton Outpatient Surgery and Laser Center. She has also been the Chief Operating Officer at Dr. Rounds, LLC since January of 2008. She also has served on the Executive Board of Eye Physicians of Florida for over 5 years.
Back in the early days of her academic career, Dr. Lee-Chee graduated from Florida International University in 1992 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry with a minor in Biology. She continued her education at Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine, earning her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree in 1996.
Thereafter, she went on to perform her residency in ophthalmology and two additional fellowships at Tulane University Medical Center, School of Medicine, in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Her ophthalmology research fellowship allowed her to be involved in multiple FDA trials for many of the commonly known ophthalmic drugs used for glaucoma and retinal disease.
During her corneal and refractive fellowship, Dr. Lee-Chee performed hundreds of cornea transplants. She trained in refractive surgery (laser vision correction) by some of the most renowned physicians in the world.
With over two decades of experience, she is board-certified in ophthalmology by the American Osteopathic Boards of Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery (AOBOO).
Among her professional affiliations, Dr. Lee-Chee is a Fellow of the American Osteopathic Academy of Ophthalmology, as well as been a member of both the International Society of Refractive Surgery and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.
